Metal Earth F-15 Eagle Aircraft 3D Laser Cut Model (MMS082)
Metal Earth F-15 Eagle Aircraft 3D Laser Cut Model
The individual pieces are simply popped out of the two metal sheets and assembled without the use of solder or glue by simply bending and/or twisting the connection tabs. A metal base (to be assembled) comes with the model to hold it aloft.
Assembled, it becomes an authentic, museum-quality laser cut replica of a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle fighter plane.
A Little History about the F-15 Eagle
A twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter that was designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing Defense, Space & Security) in a bid to gain and retain air superiority, the F-15 Eagle is one of the most successful fighter jets of the modern era.
With the design chosen by the United States Air Force in 1967, the F-15 Eagle had its first flight in 1972 before entering into service four years later in 1976. Though its production is slated to end in 2019, this marvel of engineering is expected to remain in service within the US Air Force beyond 2025.
One of the most visible F-15 jets in pop culture is the Decepticon known as Starscream, from the Transformers universe.
